Quick Start Guide
Welcome to Text2File! Create, edit, and save text files with any extension on your iPhone or iPad.

Creating Files
– Tap New File in the top right
– Enter a filename (extension optional) See the full User’s Guide for details about extensions!
– Start typing – it’s that simple!

Opening Files
– Tap Open File to browse your device
– Supports .txt, .md, .csv, .json, .html, .js, and more

Editing Text
– Smart UI: When you tap in the editor, menus hide to maximize screen space
– 22 lines visible at 12pt font with keyboard up!
– Filename field keeps menus visible while typing
– Tap Done above keyboard to restore full UI
– Swipe down on editor also dismisses keyboard

Saving & Sharing
– Save: First time picks location, after that overwrites
– Save As: Always prompts for new filename/location
– Share icon: Share via Messages, Mail, AirDrop, etc.
– Printer icon: Print directly (includes line numbers if enabled)

Editor Controls remain visible while editing:
– Font Size: 10-24pt (default: 14pt)
– Line Numbers: Shows actual line breaks
– Word Wrap: On = wrap text, Off = see true line structure

Quick Tips

– Work auto-saves as draft when you leave the app
– Save to iCloud Drive for access across devices
– Use Word Wrap OFF + Line Numbers for code
– Larger fonts (18-20pt) easier for mobile editing
